Disability Resource Center
Foothill College has a long-standing commitment to excellence and accessibility of education for all students. The DRC offers academic support for students with disabilities. The program promotes student independence and works to make campus classes, facilities and services accessible through specialized classes, reasonable accommodation and advocacy and disability awareness activities. Computer Access Center
The Foothill College Computer Access Center provides instruction and support in the use of adaptive computer technology for students with disabilities. Our goal is to mainstream students with the support of assistive technology. Learn more.

Transition to Work Program
The Transition to Work Program (TTW) is a 12-month vocational program designed for students with disabilities who can function independently on a college campus but may not have the ability to succeed in a traditional college classroom. Focused instruction gives TTW students the opportunity to develop specific job skills. Students receive on-the-job training at the Foothill campus and enroll in communication, social skills, independent living and physical education classes. Community-Based Program
Responding to diverse community needs, the Community-Based Disabled Students Program exists, through innovative and comprehensive educational programs, to provide lifetime opportunities for continued growth, development, and involvement which enhance the quality of life of students with disabilities. REACH
The Foothill College REACH Program is designed to provide the essential link between outpatient rehabilitation and full community reintegration to adults recovering from stroke. Learn more about REACH.

Services for Students with Learning Disabilities
Foothill provides services for students with verified learning disabilities. If you suspect that you have a learning disability, you can consult a Foothill College learning disability specialist to determine if a comprehensive learning disability assessment is needed. When a learning disability is verified, special ongoing services such as academic and vocational counseling, early registration, note-taking and extended time for examinations are available. Classes offered include study skills, compensatory techniques and writing skills. To schedule a consultation, call (650) 949 7017.

Medi-Cal
Foothill's Adaptive Learning & Disability Services encourages students and their families to seek joint Medi-Cal/Healthy Families benefits for assessment, screening, or treatment. Call toll-free, 888-747-1222 for application forms and receive referrals to local organizations that can help you complete applications.

Who is eligible?
  • People under 21 years of age

  • People receiving nursing home car

More children qualify for no-cost and low-cost medical, dental and vision care coverage programs.
