Tracy Gipson returns to the Foothill staff for his third season with the Owls in a promoted role as Associate Head Coach. In addition to his developmental work with the post players, Coach Tracy will also have more input on practice planning, scouting and play calling responsibilities. Tracy was a 5'10" guard and four-year starter at Valparaiso University where he was one of the most productive players to wear a Crusader uniform, ranking among the top 10 in seven statistical categories. Coach Tracy averaged 21.3 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,785 points. He earned First Team All-Mid-Continent Conference honors in 1993 after being named Second Team All-Mid-Con as a sophomore and junior. He currently resides in San Jose with his wife Talaya and their family.
Mikail Price is entering her third year as an assistant coach for the Foothill
Women's Basketball team. She is a former Owl who earned First Team All-League honors both years as
a community college player, Coast Conference MVP her sophomore year and she also was First Team All-State
in the 2005-06 season. After obtaining her AA at Foothill, she received a full ride scholarship to the
University of Nevada- Reno where she played for two years and graduated with her BA in General Studies
with a double minor, one in Communications and one in Ethnic Studies. Her achievements at Nevada included
WAC All Academic team for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 season. Coach Price will bring her knowledge from playing
at the Division 1 level to assist with player development and recruiting and hopes to learn more about
coaching at this level. She has plans to become a successful head coach of a women's program in the future.
Michelle Schukraft, ATC begins her seventh season as the Assistant Athletic Trainer
for Foothill College and the Women's Basketball Trainer. Prior to joining the Foothill Sports Medicine Staff,
Michelle worked as the Head Trainer at Evergreen HS for two years and has been the Head Athletic Trainer for
the San Jose Stealth (professional lacrosse) team for four years. She was raised in Durham, CA and came to
San Jose to earn her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Jose
State University.
