Former Foothill Stand Out Addie Schivo Sends Her Team to the NCAA Tournament
Former Foothill Owl Addie Schivo (2010-11), now at Idaho University, hit a pair of clutch free throws in the WAC Conference Tournament Championship this past weekend to help send her team to the NCAA Dance. Idaho will face UCONN in the opening round of tournament play. See story link below for more details.

Foothill Goes Undefeated in LeagueThe Foothill Owls finished up league play with two more victories over College of San Mateo and Skyline and posting a
25-5 season record. The Owls put up 195 points in their last two games and finished a perfect 12-0 in the North Coast Conference. Congratulations go out to sophomores
Chelsea Salom and
Kameran Dage who were named First Team All- League and to
AJ Newton who was named Conference MVP and First Team All-State.

Foothill defeats Chabot...Remains PerfectFoothill (23-5) remained perfect in league play, with a
77-60 victory over third place Chabot College on Friday evening. The Owls were lead by
AJ Newton with 18pts,
Sharissa Estremera with 11 and
Tianna Mitchell with 10.

Foothill Takes Care of Las PositasThe Owls defeated the fourth place Hawks by a final score of
87-51 on Wednesday night at home to pick up their 8th victory in league play. Foothill was lead by
AJ Newton with 22,

Foothill (20-5, 7-0) Defeats San Francisco City College for Second TimeThe Owls, sparked by
AJ Newton's 22 points and
Kameran Dage's 16 points, lead a second half comeback to defeat CCSF at their place by a final score of
64-63 on Friday night. Foothill had a great defensive effort and held San Francisco to just 22 points in the second half.
Kameran Dage hit three of her four 3pt. shots in the second half including the game winner putting the Owls ahead for good with just under two minutes to play.

Foothill Remains Undefeated in LeagueWith a
78-28 victory over Skyline College on Wednesday night, (# 8 State) Foothill remains undefeated through the first half of Coast Conference League play. Foothill will take its (19-5, 6-0) record on the road to San Francisco City College for a showdown Friday night at CCSF. San Francisco is currently in second place, just one game back of the Owls.

Owls Rout College of San MateoFoothill (18-5, 5-0) scored the first 15 points and held CSM scoreless for the opening 6 minutes of the game on Friday night. After leading 41-26 at halftime, the Owls used another 18-2 run to open the second half to take their biggest lead 60-28 with 14 minutes left to play. Foothill cruised to an
84-48 victory. The Owls were lead by
Kameran Dage with 29 points,
Sharissa Estremera and
AJ Newton had 11 and
Chelsea Salom added 10 points. Foothill is on the road this week for both games, first on
Wednesday Jan 30th at Skyline College at 7pm and on Friday Feb 1 at San Francisco at 5pm.

91-22. Foothill connected on 8 three point shots with
Kameral Dage and
Jessica Woo leading the way with 3 each. JWoo lead all scorers with 19 points and

Lady Owls Make a Strong Start for 2012-2013After posting an impressive 13-5 pre-season record, including a First Place finish at the AVC Holiday Tournament, three- Second Place finishes at the COS, Mt. San Antonio Tournament, and Pepsi Holiday Classic Tournament as well as a Third place finish in Merced, the Owls feel like they are battle tested and ready for league play. The Owls faced 16 teams with winning records including 10 top ranked teams in the state in their pre-season preparation for league and boasted the #1 TSRPI in Nor-Cal in mid- December.
The Owls (#8 State) opened up the 2013 Coast Conference League play with a victory over San Francisco City College Wednesday night at home. 2011-2012 Season
Owls Suffer Tough Loss to Mt Sac- Finish #2 in StateIn a tight- hard fought battle between the two #1 seeds in the state, the Owls were defeated by Mt. San Antonio by a final score of 68-58.
Foothill (30-5) was led by all-tourney guard
Raeshel Contreras with a game-high 24 points and all-tourney forward
Nikki Powell added ten points. Both teams had 22 field goals. Mt. SAC won it at the line, converting on 24 of 33 free throw attempts. Foothill was only 11 of 16. Foothill led early, 16-8, with 11:57 left in the first half. Mt. SAC equaled its biggest lead with the final ten-point margin.
Down, 26-21, with 4:12 left in the half after an eight-point Mt. SAC run, Foothill finished the period strong to take the halftime lead at 30-29 on a three-point basket by Contreras. Congratulations to

Foothill to State ChampionshipWith a 49-43 victory over Ventura College (32-1), the Owls advance to the State Championship Game. Foothill held the Pirates scoreless in the opening 8 minutes and 10 seconds and limited them to just 4 field goals total in the first half. Foothill had 8 players in the scoring column and was lead by
Emily Richard with 10 pts.
Nikki Powell had 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Foothill To the State Final FourWith a victory over Santa Rosa College on Saturday night-
Foothill advances to the State Final Four to be hosted in Sacramento March 9-11. The Owls defeated the BearCubs by a final score of 57-49. Foothill was lead by
Raeshel Contreras with 16pts.
Nikki Powell had 13pts and 10 rebounds.
The Owls (29-4) will play against #2 Ventura (32-1) at Consumnes River College on Friday March 9th at 5pm.

Foothill to the Elite 8With a victory over Consumnes River College, Foothill advanced to the Elite 8. Foothill jumped out early on the Hawks beating them by a final score of 60-39. Foothill was lead by
Raeshel Contreras 16pts and 6 assists. Rechel Carter lead the team with 10 rebounds while
Nikki Powell had 10 pts and 8 rebounds.
The Owls play next against #5 Santa Rosa on Saturday March 4 at 7pm at Foothill.

Owls to the Sweet 16#1 Foothill opened the playoffs Saturday with a 80-54 victory vs #16 San Jose City. Foothill had a balanced scoring attack with 12 players in the scoring column. The Owls were lead by Jessica Woo with 14 points while Colleen Goeser and Deja Bishop added 10pts each. #1 Foothill plays next vs #8 Consumnes River on Wednesday Feb 29th at 7pm at home.

Foothill Gets the #1 Seed in Nor CalFoothill (27-4) received the #1 seed in Nor Cal Playoffs. The Owls open the tournament at home on Saturday night vs. the winner of #16- San Jose City and #17- Skyline.

Foothill Defeats Las PositasIn a dominating performance, Foothill defeated Las Positas Wednesday night by a final score of
95-49. The Owls put up an impressive 58 points in the first half alone and cruised to the 46 point victory. Foothill had 13 players in the scoring column lead by
Raeshel Contreras with 20.
Nikki Powell had 18 points and 12 rebounds and
Chelsea Salom added 16 points. Foothill (#1 Norcal) plays at home next against #14 Chabot at 5pm on Jan 25th.

63-58. San Francisco who already lost to San Mateo also has one loss in league. Foothill who struggled offensively was lead by

Foothill Wins "Pepsi Holiday Classic"After victories over Butte College 95-43 and Irvine Valley 77-43, the Owls beat #5 Sierra College
71-61 to win their second consecutive Pepsi Holiday Classic. Foothill was lead by
Rechel Carter with 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Jessica Woo had 15 and
Raeshel Contreras chipped in 14pts.
Rechel Carter was named Tournament MVP and
Jaquanna Harrison received All Tournament Honors.
