Foothill College Mourns the Passing of Coach Doug Boyett
With dedication and hard work as a cornerstone of the program, The Foothill College Football Program has emerged as one of the top community college programs in Northern California. Since 2007, the team has been helmed by Head Coach Doug Boyett, M.A. Boyett died Jan. 27, 2012.

The Boyett family has announced that a public viewing is Friday, Feb. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roller, Hapgood & Tinney, 980 Middlefield Road, in Palo Alto and a public memorial is Saturday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Foothill College Gymnasium, 12345 El Monte Road, in Los Altos Hills. Parking Lot 2-A provides best access to the gym.

"Doug cared deeply for his students and took great pride in their academic accomplishments which were numerous under his guidance," said Foothill College President Judy C. Miner, Ed.D. "He will be greatly missed by his Foothill family."

On Saturday, Nov 7th the Foothill College Women’s Water Polo Team won the Coast Conference Tournament & Championship Title with a hard fought 5-4 victory over Merced College. The game-winning goal was scored by Sophomore Tatiana Sheikhrezai with :03 left giving the Lady Owls its third Coast Conference Championship in a row and there fourth in the last 7 years...Read more.

Coach Doug Boyett will lead the Foothill football program as head coach effective Spring 2007. A full-time assistant coach and physical education instructor since 1990, Boyett becomes the fifth coach to lead the Foothill Owls, succeeding Marshall Sperbeck. The Foothill Women's Basketball team has been League Champions for eight straight years beginning in 2001. They posted back to back to back State Tournament Elite 8 appearances and were the State Finalists in 2008.
