Off Season Workouts

The Foothill College Softball program has an extensive off-season program designed to not only continuously work on softball fundamentals, but we have a very comprehensive speed, strength, and agility program.

Modeled after Georgia Tech's softball program, our workouts are position specific, designed to help each of our pitchers, power players, and speed players. Players go through a variety of weight training, agility training, speed training, and endurance training in addition to prehabbing specific muscle groups.

On field practices are organized to keep our players constantly moving from one aspect of practice to the next. Fall practices are designed to isolate specific softball skills, break it down into its parts, and then working on each of those parts before building the skill back up to whole again. The goal is a team ready to compete at the best of it's ability both physically and mentally

Players participate in voluntary workout throughout summer and begin practicing first day of fall quarter. Speed, strength, and agility training continues throughout the season.
