Assistant Coach - Adrianne Fass

Adrianne comes to the Bay Area from the East coast, after a very successful youth and collegiate career. While in high school, she was a member of the Region III ODP team from the ages of 15-18 and was also a member of the U18 national pool, which consisted of the nation’s top 30 players. In 1995, her club team made the USYSA Snickers National Semi-Finals, where they finished third overall. Coming out of high school, Soccer America listed her among the top 11 college recruits in Region III.

Adrianne played 4 years of Division 1 soccer at the University of Florida, and was named an All-American in her sophomore year and to the All-Southeast Region and All-SEC teams her freshman and sophomore years. In 1998, her team became Division 1 national champions, defeating the University of North Carolina in the NCAA finals, 1-0.

Adrianne has been a part of the Force Soccer Club since 2001. In 2003, she co-coached the ’85 Black Girls team to a CYSA State Cup Championship. In 2004, she coached the ’91 Blue Girls to the semi-finals of the CYSA State Cup. She is currently coaching the Force ’90 Blue Girls team, which is a 3 time State Cup semi-finalist. Adrianne currently holds an USSF "B" coaching license.

Adrianne was awarded the USSF Bob McNulty Award of Excellence, which is given to the coach who best exemplifies the spirit of and devotion to coaching.

Adrianne has been a member of the Force club Board of Directors since 2003. She is the currently club vice president and former Girls DOC.

Ed Villalpando
Assistant Coach - Ed Villalpando

Ed Villalpando returns to Coach Flannery’s staff. Coach Villalpando comes to the Foothill College women soccer team with an extensive coaching background. Ed has coached at many levels including club, high school, ODP, and college.

In 2004, his club team won the Northern California Snickers State Cup Championship and also U.S. Club National Championship. He possesses various coaching licenses and has participated in many different coaching seminars across the country. Coach Flannery is very excited about having coach Villapando back on his staff.

"Over the last 10 years or so that I have worked with Ed, the teams we have coached have had great success. He is responsible for training the team, breaking down our opponents, helps with recruiting and game day decision-making. Without his help we could never have had the success we had."

Kathy Schaefers
Goalkeeper coach - Kathy Schaefers

In College Katherine (Kathy) Schaefers played for Foothill College from 2001-2002. She was a scholar-athlete during both years. As a freshman, Schaefers was named California Goalkeeper of the Year. Kathy would then transfer to UCSB where she played her junior and senior years.

In club, Kathy played for the Silicon Valley Red Devils, and San Francisco Nighthawks at the Semi-Professional level, and currently plays with the Red Devils in the Silicon Valley Premiere League. She has also played in the Netherlands' first division with RCL Leiderdorp.

In High School Kathy went to Prospect High School in San Jose. She helped lead Prospect HS to a Central Coast Section title.
