Each year the Environmental Horticulture and Design program also conducts special events for the public as well as for our students. Some of these events include seasonal plant sales and an annual spring garden tour and pot-luck.
Students also participate in a variety of special committees related to the use and development of our facilities. Examples are the Herb and Perennial Garden Committee, the Nursery and Plant Sale Committee, and the Composting Committee. Each committee provides an opportunity for student interaction and sharing.
Lastly, within the next few years, new facilities for the department will be built on campus. These will include new classrooms, greenhouse, construction lab building, lath-house, and completely new outdoor facilities and gardens. Please join us as we move forward with our new curriculum and plan for our new facilities.
