Minimum Prerequisites

All requirements listed below are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the current application for each program.


Two-Year Program Prerequisites
  • High school diploma or equivalency;
  • High school or college biology, chemistry and algebra;
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5;
  • Compliance with specific technical standards; and
  • Eligibility for ENGL 1A or ESL 26.
General education courses are waived for students who have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. The RSPT 200 course is strongly recommended for all applicants.


Strong Recommendation

Though not prerequisites, we strongly recommend potential applicants complete all General Education classes, PSYCH 1, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology prior to applying to the Respiratory Therapy program.
