The Career Development Conference is designed to
prepare students for the next level of advancement in their career.
Participants will develop their leadership potential, learn tips for
effective communication, learn how to effectively work on teams, and
identify their positive contributions to the workplace. Job seekers,
especially students and young professionals, need an added boost to be
competitive in California's workforce. The saying, "You only get one
chance to make a good first impression" is so relevant in today's
competitive job market. Communication and Team work are two key skills
that employers look for when making a hiring decision.
The Career Development Conference begins with free
lunch at noon and a keynote presentation.
From 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., you can attend workshops presented
by experienced leaders and business executives. Workshop topics include
Teambuilding Skills, Digital Resumes & Personal Branding, and Successful

8000 hungry stomachs. Tracy's passion for empowerment and the Dishcrawl
Ambassador program has enabled many young women and men to become local
entrepreneurs and bring their own communities together. She believes together,

Lalia is a professor of Business Psychology at Palo Alto University and
founder of Luminis Consulting, that provides coaching, training, and
facilitation to individuals and organizations. She holds a Masters Degree
in Education, and a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology.
Learning to work effectively on teams is vital in today's job market.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to explore ways to work with others
on fun and creative challenges, while learning about relational and communication skills
that can help you in every career and profession.
Digital Resumes & Personal Branding
Jay Matheson, Business Development Executive, Apple Inc.
In this position, Jay is charged with creating and delivering events
that educate customers on Apple technology and provide solutions for
the greater academic community.
Throughout the state, Jay often partners with campus leadership
frequently presenting on the topics of student generated content,
personal branding, the integration of technology in academia and
the challenges of the 21st century workforce and economy.
In this engaging session, learn why you should create a digital resume and how to do it.

Andrew Heywood
Resumes will get you to the interview and a great interview will
