this Certificate
This
is an entry level certificate in GeoTechnology. It can be taken through
the High School Pathways to Progress GeoTechnology program, or entirely
through Foothill College. It provides a foundation in the tools used in
Geospatial techology. It is an ideal first step for students who want
to integrate GIS into their discipline, or students taking their first
step towards a career in GeoTechnology. Coursework can be applied to later
certificates.

certificate enhances the Certificate of Achievment by providing detailed
hands-on experience building web-based GIS and map mashups. It is intended
for students who have already completed the Certificate of Achievement
and have taken at least one object oriented programming course such as
HTML, Java or Visual Basic.

certificate prepares you to use GIS as a supporting tool in your discipline.
This certificate can be scaled up to a Certificate of Achievement for
GIS Analyst with the addition of 15 units (see below).
