Biography: Diane Uyeda has a BA in Asian Studies from Occidental College, an MA in TESOL from the University of Washington, a certificate in Online Teaching from the University of California, San Diego, and a certificate in Postsecondary Reading and Learning from CSU Fullerton. She has also completed graduate work in Rhetoric and Writing Studies (San Diego State University) and Linguistics (UC San Diego).
Diane has also studied French, Spanish, Japanese, Turkish and Portuguese. She has been teaching ESL since 1996 and taught at the University of Washington, San Diego State University, the University of California, San Diego, and MiraCosta College before coming to Foothill in 2004. Diane has served as a teacher consultant for the San Diego Area Writing Project and a reader for the annual UC Analytical Writing Placement Exam (AWPE).
