Biography:
Ion Georgiou received his B.A. degree in Mathematics and Minor in Physics (Suma Cum Lade) from Eastern Illinois University in 1991, an M.S. in Mathematics for Illinois University at Champaign Urbana in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000. Before joining Foothill College in 2004, I was a part-time instructor at Santa Clara University for two years. Prior to that I worked in industry as a workforce management optimization specialist and have helped over 160 companies use mathematical models to better match supply and demand.
