Employment is considered on-campus only if it is on the campus of the school/university that issued your I-20. Generally, international students are able to find part-time positions at the bookstore, library, cafeteria or other offices at Foothill College. International students are eligible for on-campus employment two weeks after the beginning of their first quarter of enrollment at Foothill College. Additionally, you have to demonstrate that you have not violated immigration regulations, are in lawful F-1 immigration status and are registered for a minimum of 12 units (except the summer quarter). In the summer, the number of hours per week of allowable on-campus employment is controlled by whether or not the F-1 student was employed during the previous Spring term or will be employed during the Fall term that follows the summer. |
