As part of International Education Week, Foothill is offering its first ever International Art Contest! Submissions are being accepted for the competition now through Nov. 16 at 12:00 p.m. Works will then be displayed in the Semans Gallery (in the Foothill library) through Nov. 21.

Foothill College students can submit hard copies of their work in person at the International Programs Office (Room 1933). Sorry, no digital content will be accepted. All Foothill students are eligible to participate.

Work Specifications:
Only one entry per participant will be accepted. The work can be a drawing, painting, photograph or combination of these that reflects your culture. It can be created with digital tools, but it must be presented in printed form. Digital manipulation of the images is allowed. The work must be original material not presented in any other competition organized by Foothill and owned by the entrant. Every entry must be accompanied by a brief paragraph (no longer than 200 words) that explains how the work represents your culture. The maximum size is 2 ft x 2 ft. Offensive content is will be disqualified.

Art works will be judged for cultural content, creativity, display of technical skills and presentation. Entries will be judged by a panel of faculty, staff and a student.

All entries will be displayed in the Foothill Library. Photographs of all entries will be taken for marketing and promotional use and displayed on the International Programs Office's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/foothillinternational) during International Education Week.

Winners will be announced Nov. 21 on the International Programs Office's Facebook page and ribbons will be placed on entries in the library.
