How You Can Become Involved in Center Activities

• The Japanese Cultural Center is run by volunteers, including the staff, students, community members, business people, Japanese artists and craftspeople, retirees, visitors from Japan, and Foothill College staff members. Volunteers bring specific skills to the Center or can be trained in office procedures, events coordination, marketing and public relations, and Japanese social skills. Become involved in your choice of:

  Bamboo garden maintenance Bookkeeping Committee projects Community outreach activities Construction and maintenance Events setup and coordination Exhibits and collections display Fund-raising projects Hosting and receptions Japanese language conversation Macintosh keyboarding Newsletter and publications Office and clerical support Photography and albums Public relations Service auxiliary projects Social club activities Volunteer and intern training
