Biography: Suzanne Weller has been a solo flutist and orchestral player in Northern California for 25 years. A music graduate with a B.A. in Flute performance from San Jose State University, her teachers have included the late Frances Blaisdell at Stanford University, Isabelle Chapuis Starr from the Paris Conservatory and San Jose State University, Patti Watters, from the San Jose Symphony.
Suzanne has participated in master classes with world-famous flutists; Jean-Pierre Rampal, James Galway and William Bennett. She has also been principal flutist for Nova Vista Symphony, Palo Alto Philharmonic, Palo Alto Symphony and Master Sinfonia and alternate 3rd flutist for the San Jose Symphony. Suzanne's performing output includes solo flute recitals, chamber music festivals, international folk festivals as well as concerts with jazz ensembles and Celtic bands in San Jose, Fort Bragg/ Mendocino, San Francisco, Palo Alto and Lake Tahoe. Current music performing groups are "Tout Suite" woodwind duo, "Serenata"- a flute and guitar duo, "The Saucy Scallywags" - a Celtic trio and special guest performer with "Jazz y Clave", a Latin jazz ensemble.
Suzanne continues to perform with chamber music groups, jazz ensembles and Celtic bands as well as on recordings she produces for herself and others.
Suzanne is co-author, with Michelle Pollace-Mills, of music theory workbook with interactive CD called "Musicreation".
