Parent Orientation Is Tonight

Foothill College hosts Parent Orientation Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 5015. Admission is free; parking is $3. All parents and students are welcome to attend. Spanish translation will be provided.

In addition to answering your questions, Foothill College personnel will give brief presentations on university transfer options and the transfer process; financial aid opportunities; academic counseling; academic integrity; federal privacy laws under the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA); adaptive learning resources and procedures for requesting accommodation services; parenting courses and college resources that support student success.

Foothill's Parent Orientation event gives parents and guardians of college students the opportunity to:
  • meet Foothill faculty, counselors, administrators, staff and students;
  • get answers to your questions;
  • learn about strategies to help your college student succeed;
  • be introduced to student rights and responsibilities; and
  • hear about the numerous programs and services available to Foothill students.

Visitors must purchase a parking permit for $3 from dispensers in any student parking lot. A parking permit is required at all times; failure to display a parking permit will result in a citation. Parking Lots 5 and 6 provide closest access to Room 5015.
