Presented by the Associated Students of Foothill College and Student Senate for California Community Colleges, the March in March is a important event that makes the strongest statement when all students, faculty, staff, our families and the community join together to advocate not just for our education, but for every individual student's access to higher education in California. As a Foothill College student, did you know that you're a student within the largest higher education system in the world? With 2.9 million students at 112 accredited colleges, the California Community Colleges are proud to educate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, who are focused on achieving various career training, university-transfer, professional development and basic skills goals. It's also important for you to know that the California Community Colleges continue to be the most affordable system of higher education in the United States. California has valued its commitment to affordable education, as documented in its Master Plan for Higher Education. Through activities like the March in March, meeting and writing to legislators and newspaper editors, and staying informed via Facebook, we invite you to partner with us as we fight to protect the accessibility, affordability and quality of the California Community Colleges. Note: If you choose to attend the March in March event, it is your responsibility to notify your Foothill instructors that you will miss Foothill classes that day.
