Expect construction detours throughout the campus from
July 2 through mid-September. Allow extra time to get to classrooms, offices and parking lots. Foothill College offices and classrooms are open during construction.
Crews will be installing and reconstructing access ramps, curbs, gutters and sidewalks; and conducting pavement and landscaping removal and replacement in the Library Quad and adjacent areas. Among other features, the project will add or upgrade existing access to provide better accessibility for students, faculty, staff and community members with disabilities.
For access to the Library (Building 3500), park in Lots 2 or 3. Temporary pathways will be installed and pedestrians are to follow designated paths. The location of these paths will vary, so watch for posted placards.
Do not enter any area that is fenced off.
We’re excited about moving forward with this work, which has been made possible by the passage of Measure C, a bond initiative approved by voters in 2006. Funding for Measure C projects is generated from general obligation bonds. These funds are not subject to state budget cuts and can only be used for facilities projects.
Please heed all warning signs and do not enter construction areas. Construction areas are considered the property of the contractors. Construction start and completion dates are subject to change.
