Foothill's Ceramics Department and Claybodies Club present the annual Student Holiday Pottery Sale Dec. 4-6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Cesar Chavez Plaza, adjacent to the Campus Center. Students will be selling handmade ceramic functional ware and sculpture that they have created in Foothill classes. Items for sale include bowls, vases, hand-built figures and more. Cash, checks or money orders accepted; purchases cannot be paid for with credit cards. Proceeds from each sale benefit the college's ceramics department. The Foothill Ceramics Program offers courses from the introductory level to technically challenging areas such as glaze calculation, mold making and raku. There are twice-yearly ceramic sales. Prominent ceramic artists are invited to give workshops, which attract ceramic artists from the region as well as students from other colleges.
