The Foothill College Child Development Department presents the sixth annual Painting the Future: A Global Perspective on Early Care & Education Conference Saturday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
at the Garden House at Shoup Park, 400 University Ave., in Los Altos. For the sixth consecutive year, the conference is expected to sell out and participants are encouraged to register online early. On-site conference registration may not be available.
Designed especially for early childhood educators and parents, registration for the all-day event is $100, which includes the choice of two workshops, transportation to workshop, brunch and afternoon refreshments. The conference features a panel of early care professionals who have traveled to Hungary, Italy and New Zealand investigate best early care practices in these countries. They will share their international perspectives of what has influenced environments and curriculum here in the United States.
Conference participants will also have the opportunity to choose one of two study tours: GeoKids (Menlo Park) & Bing Nursery School (Stanford) or
Children's Center of Stanford Community (Stanford) & Edgewood House Family Child Care (Palo Alto). Transportation to study tour destinations is included in conference registration fee.
