Individual Meetings With Standard Chairs

The Accreditation Self Study Editors met with Standard Chairs and "experts" in specific areas to complete the first draft of the Self-Study.

Each team will recieve specific instructions and deadlines for spring, and we will look at the deadlines in Fall for writing the first draft. Several Foothill College representatives presented at this years' League for Innovation Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. The presentations specifically addressed Foothill's approach to developing a homegrown Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Cycle and how the new Governance structure was developed and implemented.

12 - FRAMES Institutional Learning Outcomes Convocation

Travel Magic: Tools for Reflective Practice in Our Teaching Journey: A focus on the reflective process and gathering of assessment data. At this event, Elizabeth Barkley speaks about ways of looking at data- as a reflective practitioner and as an anthropologist. We then take the next step of the Institutional Learning Outcomes process with exploration into the 4 C's (Computation, Critical Thinking, Global Consciousness/Citizenship, and Communication) with the help of real student artifacts and the rubrics established by the FRAMES project. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hearthside Lounge.

The purpose of this gathering is to: 1.) Review Final Report Recommendations, Mid-Term Report, Follow Up Report and discuss request for second follow up report due Oct. 2010. 2.)
