Art Survey (2012-2013)
The Art Survey program gives students an opportunity for exposure to a broad range of art mediums. Students will experience art through hands-on creation of two and three dimensional projects; use of appropriate tools, materials, methods and techniques; learn to analyze and evaluate art works as well as student projects. The Associate in Art degree provides the student with a well-balanced art experience.
 
Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork and designs using appropriate tools, materials, methods and techniques.
Students will be able to analyze and critically evaluate two-dimensional and three-dimensional creative projects using the current principles and language of art and design.
 
Career Opportunities
Career opportunities may include the following: artist, set designer, interior designer, graphic artist, residential-commercial-industrial painter, teacher, exhibit designer.
 
Units required for Major: 90
Units required for Certificate: 15-59.5
 
Associate Degree Requirements:
English proficiency: ENGL 1A, 1AH, 1S & 1T, ESLL 26 or equivalent.
Mathematics proficiency: MATH 57, 105, 108 or equivalent.
A minimum of 90 units is required* to include:

*Additional elective course work may be necessary to meet the 90-unit minimum requirement for the associate degree.
