Jamie Orr completed her PhD at UC Davis in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. Her thesis work focused on applications to theoretical biophysics - specifically with the study of prion diseases, or those that involve the misfolding of proteins.
More recent work includes curriculum development for Foothill's up and coming Energy & Sustainability program which includes courses in green and sustainable engineering, society and the environment.
