Criteria:Active participation each quarter course is repeated will enhance student's cognitive and performance skills and emphasis will be put on increasing fitness levels. These will include: A. Increased critical thinking in competitive games in the analysis of offensive and defensive strategies B. Increased knowledge in organizing personal performance program C. Increased development of advanced skills in running, kicking, and blocking

1. Description -
Competitive intercollegiate football working toward strength and agility as well as increased knowledge of offensive and defensive alignments and strategies. Students have the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate games.
Prerequisite: None
Co-requisite: None
Advisory: Not open to students with credit in H P 40C.

2. Course Objectives -
The student will be able to:
  1. perform football skills related to each athlete's specialization and team objectives
  2. prepare to compete in highly organized team sport at a maximum level of competition
  3. apply and practice skills learned and show improvement
  4. analyze effectively the other team's play and strategies
  5. demonstrate through performance the development of physical fitness levels in strength
  6. identify official rules and their interpretations to enhance performance
  7. display proper sportsmanship both on and off the field
  8. explain the elements and the actions involved in an athletic philosophy

    We educate through explanation, demonstration, drills and corrective feedback. Video analysis is used also.

    Blocking, kicking, passing, running, and tackling.
