1. Description -
Follow-up injury treatment, phases of tissue healing, and stages of rehabilitation including therapeutic modalities.
Prerequisite: None
Co-requisite: None
Advisory: Students must have reliable and ongoing Internet access to complete quizzes, discussions and assignments; not open to students with credit in H P 67C or PHED 67C.

2. Course Objectives -
The student will be able to:
  1. review basic anatomy and physiology.
  2. discuss the components of a pre-participation physical examination.
  3. memorize the indications and contra-indications of different therapeutic treatments.
  4. demonstrate proper use of machine and free weight exercise equipment.
  5. formulate exercise protocols to strengthen different areas of the body.
  6. explain the phases of tissue healing.
  7. design treatment protocols for the different phases of healing.
  8. discuss cultural differences in treatment and rehabilitation

When taught as an online distance learning or hybrid section, students and faculty need ongoing and continuous Internet and Email access.
