Just over fifty years old, buffeted by changes both internal and external, Foothill College stands on a precipice. Where have we been; where are we going? The state of California has changed dramatically over those 50 years, including in key areas like student demographics, workforce demands, and even in terms of community and societal pressures. In response, our legislature is plainly taking action to redefine and essentially narrow the role and mission of community colleges.
