Welcome!
The Foothill College Articulation Office establishes and maintains articulation agreements between Foothill College and other accredited colleges and universities, ensuring students a smooth transfer of course credit. The articulation office also supports faculty with curriculum development. Generally, transfer articulation is the alignment of community college curriculum with other college and university courses and programs. This is accomplished through the process of developing ongoing communication and agreements between and among two-and four-year postsecondary institutions.
Student Information
This web site is primarily intended for use by faculty. Students seeking information about articulation agreements should visit the Student Articulation web page, as well as the Transfer Center. Important note: Careful planning is required for students to successfully transfer to a 4-year institution. Creating a transfer plan that incorporates admission and lower division GE, major, and elective requirements is key. Students should make an appointment to meet with a counselor regularly.
Articulation Agreements
Managing and maintaining Foothill course equivalency information within ASSIST and with individual independent and out-of-state institutions is one of the core functions of the Articulation Office. This involves submitting new and modified Foothill College course outlines to the California public universities for online evaluation through the OSCAR, monitoring the ASSIST database, and troubleshooting course transferability problems and requests. On the Articulation Information & Agreements page, you will find links to information and guidelines regarding transfer agreements with CSU, UC, other colleges, and high schools. Go to Articulation Information & Agreements page.
