The program offers a broad range of classes and experiences for
both majors and non-majors. The Department offers a broad range of with
opportunities to pursue a Theatre Arts Major through many areas of
interest.
From survey classes such as Theatre Arts Appreciation, to practical,
'behind the scenes' classes such as Playwriting and Fundamentals of
Theatre Production to hands-on instruction in experiential courses such
as Fundamentals of Acting and Auditioning for the Stage, students have
several options for pursuing a major as well as fulfilling GE requirements.
The entirely student-operated Brown Bag Theatre Program (THTR 50) offers
performance and production experience to all interested students.
All theatre arts courses are open to students (production
classes are subject to audition and interview for instructor approval)
and are taught by industry professionals who are highly skilled in their
respective disciplines.
