Counseling & Career Testing

Counseling can help you at every step of the way in your career and transfer exploration and in the
decision-making process.

Counselors can help you answer questions such as:

  • How do I make decisions about my career or major selection?
  • How do I return to college after years of being out of school?
  • How do I completely change the direction of my career?
  • How can I balance my family, job and school responsibilities?

and follow the prompts.For quick questions, come by the Student Services Building room 8305A, for a drop-in session with a counselor. You will need your 8 digit Foothill student ID# to schedule appointments and use counseling services.

Counseling Hours
Mon. – Thur. 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Friday, 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Reduced hours during summer quarter.

Career testing or assessment is available through our Career Life Planning course CRLP 70-Self Assessment. You may also be able to do testing in CRLP 71- Exploring Career Fields. Assessments may include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(tm) instrument, EUREKA Skills Sort, the Strong Interest Inventory, the Self Directed Search, and values instruments.
