Overview

Foothill College offers Veterans, active duty personnel and reservists the opportunity to adapt their military skills to civilian life, learn in-demand skills, earn an associate degree or a certificate of achievement, and complete university-transfer requirements.

The Foothill Veterans Resource Center (VRC) provides specialized programs and services to Veterans, eligible dependents, Active Duty service members, Selected Reserve service members and National Guard service members such as:

  • Veterans educational benefits information
  • Financial aid information and application assistance
  • Academic counseling
  • Peer support and mentoring
  • Presentations, workshops and panel discussions of important Veterans-related topics, such as learning styles for non-traditional learners, sensitivity training regarding Veterans' issues and civil rights training for Veterans
  • Referrals to on-campus wellness and mental health professionals
  • Training for people with disabilities to make use of assistive technology devices
  • Access to computers, software applications, assistive technology devices, printers, photocopiers and fax machines
  • Informal lounge that features internet, wi-fi access, computers, a printer, a photo copier, a fax machine, a study area and a seating area
