Workshops

The WLC offers a variety of study skills, reading, and writing workshops each quarter to help students build the learning processes and tools they need to stay organized and thrive academically. All students can attend! See the schedule below for our upcoming workshops.

Our workshops are currently held virtually through the LRC Zoom Room, but our team is open to create hybrid and in-person workshops if requested! 

How to Join our Workshops

Log into the LRC Zoom room through our drop-in tutoring system (Links to an external site.). View our video instructions (Links to an external site.), or follow these step-by-step directions.

  1. Click on "Go to Drop-In Tutoring (Links to an external site.)" button.
  2. Enter your 8-digit student ID and your birth date (two-digit month, two-digit date, and four-digit year. For example, February 25, 1970 would be entered as 02251970). Click "Sign In" button. 
  3. Click on the “Drop-In” button to join the main Zoom room.
  4. Select any of your classes from the drop-down list.
  5. Then, for the reason for your visit, select "workshop"
  6. Click “Continue.” 
  7. Click on “Click Here to Enter Tutoring Zoom Room” button. This will allow you to enter the LRC Tutoring Center where you will be greeted by our Tutoring Center Zoom Hosts.
  8. Request to join the WLC Workshop.

Aside from our regularly scheduled writing and student success workshops, upon request, the WLC can provide a variety of workshops on reading, writing, research, and study skills topics.

To request a WLC workshop, please complete the WLC workshop request form.* 

* It takes the WLC staff  1-2 weeks to prepare workshops. Please submit your workshop request form well in advance.

Take a LEGO study break. Drop by the WLC anytime from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to build a LEGO set using instructions or create your own masterpiece!
